Larry Cooper affectionately known as Tuz passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Darby Glenn Nursing Home in Hilliard, Ohio. He had lived his entire life in London, Ohio. Tuz was born on February 20, 1950, to Clarence Cooper and Arzella Herman. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, James Cooper, and his former wife, Cheryl Cooper, and grandchildren; Alexis Williams, DaVante, Julius, Jaelyn, and Jaden Cooper.
Tuz is survived by his brother Raymond (Sandy).
Tuz is preceded in death by sisters; Libby Jackson, Vivian Price, Deloris Frye, Renee Willis, Josephine Artis, Rozella Cooper as well as brothers; Robert Cooper, Dean Cooper and Curt Cooper.
Tuz served in the army and retired from Odd Lots. Upon retirement he loved to fish with his son, James. One of the things he enjoyed the most was golfing with his buddies, Jeff and Bobby McCombs, and then going to their favorite watering hole, Roosters. A special thanks goes out to the Frye family who were always there for him making sure he was comfortable in his time of need. The Hoosier family was there as well buying pecan turtles, making him brownies, and bringing him food that he craved even when he couldn’t swallow or eat them.
Tuz was a private man, gruff at times, but loved by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at The First Baptist Church gymnasium, 250 Toland Street, London, Ohio, 43140, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with service starting at 5:30 p.m., and repast immediately afterward.
