With profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Lillian C. Vance, who peacefully departed this world on April 22, 2026, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on January 24, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio, Lillian was the treasured daughter of Gary and Lula Gibson, who preceded her in death. She now joins them, along with her loving devoted husband, Kenneth C. Vance, her son, Kenneth C. Vance Jr., her daughter Sherry Archer and her daughter, Paula Delbart, in eternal rest.

Lillian’s journey through life was marked by unwavering love and devotion, particularly to her surviving daughter, Kimberly Wilburn, and her son-in-law, Billy, who became her rock and confidant. Her sister, Susie Bender, will forever cherish the bond they shared. Lillian’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, Mika (Hassane) Fall, Kristina Boggs, Jenny Archer, Billy (Rochel) Wilburn, Kenneth(Miranda) Saint, Becky Wilburn, Mariah Price and many more. Her great-grandchildren, Matthew Vance-Saint, Callan Vance-Saint, and Yacoub Fall were the lights of her life, each one holding a special place in her heart. She was also granny to many more including Wyatt, Harper,Jayden, Mack, Fayea, Aubrey, Aurora, Mattie, Bentlee, Austin, Cameron, Jake, Peyton, Shelby, Joe, Max, Carrie, Jeremiah, Amour, Za’Raya and Jay’Lynn.

In 1962, Lillian married Kenneth C. Vance, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. She was the heart of her family, a nurturing soul who found joy in cooking and baking for her loved ones. Her hands were rarely idle, often busy crocheting beautiful hats and blankets, each stitch woven with love. Sunday was her day that was devoted to bingo, while weekends and summers were spent at Buckeye Lake, casting lines and creating memories with those she adored.

Lillian was known for her quick wit and warm smile and gifts that made everyone feel welcome and valued in her presence. Her kindness and generosity were boundless, touching countless lives. She lived for her family, especially her daughter Kim, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Her son-in-law, Billy, was her chosen one, always there when she needed him even if it was a million times a day and she held him in the highest regard.

The family extends a special thank you to her granddaughter Mika, who selflessly dedicated the last two years to caring for Lillian, and to her compassionate hospice nurse, Sara, whose unwavering support over the past year and a half brought immense comfort. Their kindness will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

In accordance with Lillian's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her remarkable life. As we bid farewell to our beloved Lillian, we carry her love in our hearts, forever grateful for the warmth and light she brought into our lives. Her legacy of love will continue to guide and inspire us.

Lillian C. Vance will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
