Lisa Ann Francisco

Lisa Francisco (Broering), age 60, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her daughters' home in Columbus on August 16, following a short but courageous battle with metastatic melanoma.

Born on January 9, 1966, in Coldwater, Lisa grew up in St. Henry. She was someone who never stopped evolving—she tried on many versions of herself over the years, always growing, learning, and expanding her world. Driven by a deep internal spark, she dedicated herself to making life more beautiful, not just for herself, but for everyone around her.

Her caring spirit shone through in her calling as a nurse. Lisa would go to great lengths to help anyone in need, giving her heart, time, and boundless energy to caring for others. An exceptional gardener and gifted home decorator, she also had a rare talent for turning any space into a haven of warmth and beauty. Above all, she brought that same fierce dedication and strength to her role as a mother, earning her the affectionate title of "Superwoman" from her youngest daughter.

She fiercely loved her kids, and her family was her world. Lisa was a devoted mother to Zach and Kate Tangeman, Kailynne Tangeman, and Riley Tangeman, and a grandmother to Henry, Wes, and Jack, who brought endless light to her world. She also cherished her grandpups, Stella, Oslo, and Finnegan.

Lisa shared a wonderful life and deep love with her long-term partner, Gary Chirpas. Together, they had recently bought a home in St. Clairsville and were eagerly looking forward to retirement, filled with sunlit days spent boating out on the river.

She is survived by her loving partner, Gary Chirpas; her children and grandchildren; her father, Paul Broering, and stepmother, Karen; and her large, tight-knit family. As one of nine siblings, Lisa was deeply rooted in a wide circle of brothers, sisters, and in-laws: Jim and Jan Broering, Linda and Ben Schmitmeyer, Diane and Dave Hoying, Sheila and Paul Balster, Brian and Jill Broering, Kevin Broering, Amy and David Gengo, and Todd and Molly Broering. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Broering.

Lisa’s compassion, creativity, and fierce love leave an indelible legacy. Her memory lives on in every life she touched, every garden that blooms, and every afternoon out on the water.
