Lisa Ann Ison

November 29, 1962 — June 17, 2025

Columbus, Ohio

Lisa Ann Ison (Carroll), 62, passed away Tuesday June 17th at 2:05AM 2025 at  Select Hospital Victorian Village in Columbus, Ohio.

Lisa was born on Thursday November 29th 1962, at home in Venice Florida Sarasota county to Marjorie Alderman (Carroll), William Carroll (both deceased).

Lisa was one of 6 siblings, to a single Mom, Chris Carroll, Steve Carroll, David Carroll, Glenda Carroll, Mark Carroll.

In her younger years she was a Momma’s girl and as one of the youngest children, she would help with her younger brother Mark. She had a pony when she was younger named thunder. She loved horses, everything about them and drew horses with her children. She met her husband (unknowing at the time) when they were young, she was eight years old at a candy store, he paid for her candy one time when she was running short, she lifted her head about the counter and stuck her tongue out at him.

Lisa was married in Samoset Florida to Wayne Ison- January 15, 1981 Her one and only husband for 45 years.

Lisa was a full time stay at home Mother. She was a great mother always there for her daughters. She attended choir concerts and school events. Lisa was understanding and compassionate and always had her daughters backs. She would get to 99 extra lifes on the super Mario game just so her daughters could come home after school and have enough changes for when they didn’t win, could try again. She would also put her children's  clothes in the dryer so they would have warm clothes on our way to school during cold Ohio winters. She Taught her daughters how to braid their hair and write. She always encouraged her daughters to settle on a higher goal such as learning to read and bringing her a high school diploma. She was a big help with her granddaughter when she was born, very supportive.

Lisa's husband was the primary provider so she didn’t have to work but she could if she wanted to. She did have a couple of jobs throughout her younger years.

Lisa has lived in Venice, Sarasota County Florida, Bloomingburg Ohio and Columbus Ohio.

Lisa loved animals and was very good at training them. She had a passion for music especially the radio. She enjoyed bike riding, gaming, drawing horses & unicorns. She liked the cartoon Sprit stallion of the cimarron, Lilo & Stitch and The Guiding Light soap opera. She loved her smart phone and communicated with her daughters daily. She was a friend, caring and kind person to anyone she met. A rare one of a kind personality, the type of person that the world needs more of.

Lisa was a member of Clime Rd Church of God, Columbus Ohio. She found joy in attending with her family and the love of God which is omnipresent.

She was strong as she could be and stronger than everyone else around her through the ups and downs of life and always had a happy heart full of love.

Lisa smiled at everyone and was always very easy to communicate with. It was hard to notice if she was ever having a bad day. She never took things too personal, was always light-hearted. She had a quirky smart sense of humor, loved to make people laugh. Couldn’t get along with super serious doctors because she liked to joke and make positive of a situation. She was left handed. Never took things too seriously. She was quick to love and slow to anger.
