Loretta Lynn Hunt

July 11, 1967 — October 5, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Loretta Lynn Hunt, our beloved mother, sister, Grandmother and Aunt.

Loretta was born in Ashland, Ohio and graduated from Clearfork High School before moving to Florida then Mansfield, Ohio where she raised her 2 daughters. Loretta attended North Central State College where she obtained her Associate degree in Psychology.

Later Loretta moved to Chillicothe to raise her Granddaughter and be near her daughters and family.

Loretta was born July 11, 1967 to General Homer Hunt and Alma Lee Ankney. She is proceeded in death by both of her parents her great niece Kennedy Nichols, and her step Father Paul Ankney, who loved her like his own.

Loretta leaves behind her daughters Amanda and Megan Hunt, her granddaughters Eyana Nash, Mila Good, and her grandson Elliot Good. She also leaves behind her siblings Gary Hunt, Janet Sutton, Lori Hall, and Steven Hunt. Loretta will also be missed by her 7 nieces, 8 nephews, her 26 great nieces, 13 great nephews, 8 great great nieces and 7 great great nephews.

Loretta spent her life in the service of others, working many years at Columbus School for the Blind, then as a DSP for people with Developmental Disabilities at Mickeys Creative Options in Mansfield, then a caregiver for the elderly at Frontier community Services in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Loretta loved "her dog" Drako and her staff (friends) who cared for her at Pickaway Manor in Circleville, Ohio where she lived at the time of her passing. Loretta loved watching her oldest Granddaughter Eyana thrive in high-school as a cheerleader and color guard. Loretta loved fishing, slots, scratch offs and her coffee black.

Loretta opened her heart and door to many, she will be forever missed but never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at a later date. Contact Amanda or Megan for details.

Special thanks for her FAVORITE nurses at Pickaway manor Tressa and Tyler, also National Church Residency Hospice, including Chaplain Aaron and nurse Anita who cared for her with such compassion.
