Marilyn Ann (Wilson) Crossley, 86, passed away on August 11, 2025, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was a proud graduate of South High School Class of 1957, where she was a cheerleader and Class Secretary. She spent many years helping to organize reunions of this tight-knit class.
In 1963, she married Allen Crossley, her high school sweetheart. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and family – above all, family. There were many big trips together, including Europe and the Holy Land. But Marilyn’s favorite was the Western US. Allen passed away in February 2022.
Marilyn’s career included serving as Secretary for Dr. Charles Pavey; more than 20 years at Riverside Methodist Hospital in ER Registration; and concluded as Church Secretary at North Community Lutheran Church – her home church of more than 40 years.
In addition to her beloved husband, Allen, Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Don and Bob, and daughter-in-law, Jennifer. She is survived by her children, Cassandra and Michael; and grandchildren, Samantha Hogan Rickerl (husband Jan) of Chicago, and Allen Hogan (wife Danielle) of Columbus. Extended family includes Jeff and Darla Jones and their children Emma and John.
Arrangements are entrusted to Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, 4341 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43214. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am on Tuesday, August 19, with a service to begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Kingwood Cemetery.
