Marilyn M. Redden

April 2, 1934 — March 13, 2026

Marilyn (Martin) Redden passed to her heavenly home March 13, 2026 at the age of 91. Born in Worthington, Ohio Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband John; parents Ida (Hard) and Lowell Martin; sons Allen and David and brother, John. She is survived by her daughters June and Carolyn, both of Columbus and son, Eugene (Gene) (Vickie), Jacksonville, Florida; grandsons Christopher and Joshua of Hamburg, Germany and Matthew (Matt) of Columbus; sister Eloise; nieces, nephews and many good friends. Marilyn served as President, Columbus Council of Parent-Teacher Assns. and Membership Chmn., Ohio PTA. She was elected to the Columbus Ohio School Board for two terms, 1971-1979, president in 1978. She and Jack have been active in the Christian Church all of their married lives where Marilyn taught pre-school children through adult Bible Classes, having accepted Christ as her Savior early in life. Active supports of Worthington Christian Village retirement center since its beginning in 1985, they have resided there. Marilyn retired after 25 years as Volunteer Coordinator at the Village. A memorial service will be held at the Village on May 2, 2026 at 11:00 am. Please be there at 10:00 am.
