Marjorie (Liz) Elmira Vaccaro

It is with a broken heart that I share the sudden loss of my mom, Marjorie, known to most as Liz.

Mom was a loving mother, a proud Mamaw, and a cherished aunt, family member, and friend. Liz leaves behind her only daughter, Annie Vaccaro Kelley, her beloved grandchildren, Hayden Kelley and Shawn Kelley, her brother Tim Diamond, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Diamond Jr. and Marjorie Diamond, brothers, Jim Diamond and Mike Diamond, sister Mary Diamond, and spouse Lyman Lindsey (Sonny).

After my stepfather passed away in 2022, Mom came to live with us full­ time. Since then, I have had the privilege of being her caregiver and sharing our home and everyday life with her. She loved being with us and being part of her grandsons' daily lives. Watching Hayden and Shawn grow and spending time with them brought her so much joy.

Mom had a way of finding happiness in the simple things. She loved sitting on the porch, chatting with neighbors, and greeting all the dogs that passed by. Those little moments brought her so much happiness, and they are memories we will always hold close to our hearts.

 A memorial service will take place at a later date and the details will be announced once determined.
