Mary Jane Mullen Smith

MARY JANE MULLEN SMITH

Mary Jane Smith, age 94, of Friendship Village of Dublin, passed away peacefully on

August 21, 2026. Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Ted Smith.

Mary was born and raised in Wellston, Ohio where she graduated from Wellston High

School in 1950. Mary moved to Columbus to attend Office Training School. Mary

worked at Riverside Methodist Hospital for over 20 years before her retirement in 1997.

Mary is survived by her son James (Esther) Smith and daughter Jayne (Bill) Schott;

grandchildren, Matthew, Stephanie, Selina, Kersey, James, Jayson and Kathleen;

great-grandchildren Khristian, Elizabeth, Jacob, Kaiah, Sid and Rishi. The family would

like to thank the staff at Friendship Village, Riverside Methodist Hospital and Ohio

Health Hospice House for caring for Mary. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations

to the Ohio Health Hospice House.
