Maryln Florence (Holtkamp) Bell

April 22, 1933 — February 10, 2023

Maryln Florence (Holtkamp) Bell, 89, of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, passed away peacefully

Friday, February 10, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by her loving family.

Maryln was born April 22, 1933, in Bluffton, Ohio to Otto and Mary (Case) Holtkamp. She

graduated from Bluffton High School in 1951, married Roger Bell later that year and moved to

Tacoma, Washington as Roger was in the Army. After the Army, they moved back to Bluffton,

Ohio and in 1956 moved to Findlay, Ohio where they lived for 33 years.

Maryln and Roger were blessed with four children, Mike (Ann) Bell, Deb (Dan) Hausch, Cheryl

Morgan and Tim (Cathy) Bell, 10 grandchildren, Ryan, Matt, Kimberly, Christi, Meredith, Staci,

Andrea, Katie, Leah and Lauren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Even with such a big family,

Maryln never missed calling each person on their birthday!

When all four of Maryln’s children were in school, she went to work for RCA in Findlay, Ohio,

where she spent 25 successful years and became RCA Findlay’s first female manager. Not

only was Maryln a great provider outside the home, she was also incredibly busy with her

childrens’ sporting events, making beautiful clothes for her daughters and cooking delicious

meals. No one worked harder with a smile than Maryln Bell.

In 1989, Maryln retired and she and Roger moved to Fairfield Glade, Tennessee where she was

very involved with Fairfield Glade Community Church, golf, bridge, working in her yard, giving

boat rides with family and friends and hosting her famous daily 4 o’clock driveway parties with

her wonderful neighbors where she enjoyed a glass of Chardonnay (or two) with ice. Maryln

and Roger also had a home in Florida where they spent the winters enjoying the sunshine,

friends and golf.

Christmas was a special time for Maryln and her family. Every year she, her daughters,

daughters-in-law and granddaughters would have a marathon shopping day on Black Friday,

buying all of the presents for that year’s Christmas. Even though her family was growing with

marriages and grandchildren, no one missed a Christmas in Ohio! Maryln dearly loved her

family and they dearly loved her and will greatly miss her.

Maryln is survived by her son, Mike (Ann) Bell; daughter, Cheryl; son-in-law, Dan (Deb) Hausch;

and daughter-in-law, Cathy (Tim) Bell. She joins her beloved husband, Roger; daughter, Deb

Hausch; and son, Tim Bell, in Heaven.

Maryln’s family would like to thank the caregivers at Brookdale Trillium Crossing and Capital

City Hospice in Columbus, Ohio for their wonderful care, and her dear, dear Tennessee

neighbors Carl and Sue for loving our Mom and always taking such good care of her. She

loved you very much.

A celebration of life service to honor Maryln will be held this summer at her church in Fairfield

Glade, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maryln’s name to the Fairfield

Glade Community Church, 521 Snead Drive, Fairfield Glade, Tennessee 38558.
