Maxine Gale Mitchell, passed away Monday, Nov 2, 2015 at Providence Place in Chambersburg, PA. Maxine was born on January 15, 1938 in Ohio, the daughter of Willard and Grace Whaley. She was united in marriage to Alvin Scott Mitchell on July 27, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio. He preceded her in death November 30, 2009. They were married for over 50 wonderful years. She was a loving mother of 3 children Denise Lynn Griffen, Lori Korczyk and Terri Lynn Mitchell (deceased); 4 loving grandchildren Ryen Ernst, Erin Ernst, Christopher Silver and Corey Mitchell; 2 great-grandchildren Nicollette Mitchell and Fiona Mitchell; brother and sisters Florence Sies, Freda Lindsay, Ralph Whaley, Lawrence Whaley, Bob Salyers and Don Whaley. Visitation will be held Weds, Nov 4, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOMES, Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214. Graveside Service Thursday 11:00 am at Kingwood Memorial Park, Lewis Center, OH.
