Michael Edward Jackson

Michael Jackson, 62, passed away on April 11, 2026. He was born on March 18, 1964, and spent most of his life in Jasper, Tennessee before moving to Columbus, Ohio in 2022.

Michael was a great father who loved his kids deeply. He also loved the open road. His great love was driving 18-wheelers all across America.

In his younger years, he had a passion for wrestling and weightlifting, earning several heavy weight competitions and championships. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in his youth.

More than anything, Michael loved his family. He cherished time with his grandsons, Krish and Arjun. He especially loved joking around with Krish, whom he shared a close and special bond.

He is survived by his children: Chase Tate; Kristen Jackson (Zachery Dodd); McKayla Jackson (Nischay Kulkarni); Stacey Jackson; his sister Anita (Patrick) His grandsons Krish Kulkarni, Arjun Kulkarni, Johnathan Dove, and Danny Dove.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Jackson; his father, Danny Jackson; his brother, Danny Burt Jackson; and his wife, Penny Scoggins.

Michael will be remembered for his will to live through extraordinarily hard circumstances, his strength and the love he had for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him
