Mona Lisa Besco

Mona Lisa Besco, aged 62, entered heaven on Monday July 14th, 2025, at OSU Wexner Medical Center. She was born on July 4th, 1963, in Mansfield Ohio to Martha Caroline Keller Burton Jessee Smith and Asa LeGrande Jessee Sr. She was an active resident of Mansfield and a graduate of Mansfield Sr. High School in 1981 and later went on to complete an associate’s degree in business from North Central State College.

She spent most of her career working in the activities department at various nursing facilities including Rotary Adult Daycare, Mansfield Memorial Homes, and Arbor’s at Mifflin where she was able to shine with her caring nature and servant’s heart. Mona had a passion for people and everywhere she went it seemed like she knew everyone’s name. Mona always knew exactly what someone needed to hear and was filled with words of encouragement. Mona loved playing with her dog and spending time in worship.

Mona's biggest passion was her church. She was a devoted member of Fusion and First Assembly and embraced many different roles in all her time there from being involved in the children’s ministry impacting the lives of countless kids from all ages to being a prayer warrior. Everything Mona did, she did it as if serving the Lord and she made it her personal mission to ensure everyone she knew was going to heaven with her.

She is survived in death by her son Aaron, her dog Denny, her brother Asa, her sisters Janet and Melissa, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Anyone wishing to celebrate the Life of Mona is welcome to attend at Fusion Church—Lexington at 220 Industrial Dr., Lexington, Ohio 44904 on July 24th at 11am.
