Nancy Norris Robinson

Nancy Lee Norris was born on November 22, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to Joseph and Merle Norris. Nancy concluded her family-centered life on August 16, 2025. Nancy was a graduate of South High School and grew up in the German Village area. She remained remarkably close friends with her “South High gals” all her life. After graduation Nancy’s professional career began with 7 years in personnel at the newly established Western Electric Co. in Columbus, where she interviewed an engineer from Wisconsin, Bill Robinson. Bill and Nancy married in 1959 and built one of the first homes in Forest Park West on Willowwood Road. In 1976, Nancy received her master’s degree in education from The Ohio State University, and served as a teacher for 22 years in Columbus Public Schools, where she taught with her lifelong friend, Anita Minshall. Nancy spent her most recent years living at Willowbrook Christian Village in a beautiful apartment, with a balcony overlooking woods and bird feeders, and surrounded by many good friends with whom she especially enjoyed playing Scrabble. Nancy loved her family, friends, music, the beauty of nature, gardening and French Bulldogs. Nancy was the family Matriarch. She was magnetic, inquisitive, sharp-witted, funny, and so very generous with her time and love. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, William Robinson, and will be deeply missed by her daughters, Holly Fischer (Ken), Jolie Begley (Robb), Mitzi Moshiri (Ahmad), her grandchildren Emily, Grace, Carl, & Sam Fischer, Patrick & Jack Begley, and her great-granddaughter Saffie. A celebration of life will be held at Willowbrook Christian Village, 100 Willowbrook Way S., Delaware OH 43015 on Friday August 29, 2025 at 12pm.
