Niki Ann Brooker

Niki Brooker, age 60, of Logan, Ohio, passed away on January 7, 2026, surrounded by love.

Niki was a loving wife to her husband, Steve Brooker, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage this past September. Her greatest joy in life came from time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and cherished pets at their home in the country.

Niki had a huge heart for children and animals. Every stray cat along her country road knew where to find a free meal, and Niki was a second mom to many of her children’s friends, who still to this day cherish her memory.

She never met a stranger, had a great sense of humor, and always made everyone feel welcome.

Niki was a loving and proud Nana to Jacob Hunter (Tiffany), Elijah Hunter, Kertus Hunter, Jonah Hunter, and Sadee Hunter, and a proud great-grandmother to Rosie Hunter.

She is survived by her loving family: her husband, Steve Brooker; her children, Patrick Brooker (Hannah Fultz), Toni Brooker (Chad Jacolenne), and Jamee Hunter (John); her sister, Vickie Griffin (Thomas); her brothers, Rodrick Gates and Mike Gates (Amy); many nieces and nephews; and her lifelong best friend since birth, Sharon Suchecki (Michael).

She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Gates; her mother, Virginia Gates; and her father, Donald Paul Gates.

Niki’s kindness will be greatly missed. It is our hope that her memory will forever bring thoughts of happiness, and laughter. In honoring her wishes, she will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
