Paul Myers

March 20, 1939 — November 13, 2023

Paul Clair Myers passed away on November 13th surrounded by loved ones. Paul was born on
March 20th, 1939 in Akron, Ohio to Paul Vernon Myers and Alice Lucille Myers. Paul entered
the Navy out of high school and was stationed in the Philippines, where he acquired a lifelong
love of Asian cuisine. After he returned stateside he moved to central Ohio where he became a
carpenter and raised two sons. He would later move to Somerset, Ohio, where he and his wife
Debbie owned and operated Anthony’s Italian Restaurant for 22 years and raised a son and a
daughter. He rounded out his professional life by working at Ricart Automotive for a handful of
years.

Paul was amiable and amusing; what he lacked in a filter he made up for with perfect comedic
timing. He was a fixer and a builder who now leaves behind a family of handymen. He enjoyed
Buckeye football, beer with a dash of salt, and sodium in general. He was an active parent in
everything from boy scout campouts to cross state track meets. He was an especially proud
grandparent who was fortunate enough to witness multiple graduations, births, and weddings in
his final years.

Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years, Debbie, along with four children; Paul (Dee) Myers,
David (Mary) Myers, Aaron (Kelly) Myers, and Lauren (Devin) Largent. He is also survived by
one sister, Donna Myers, and 11 grandchildren; Katy Myers, Sam (Avery) Myers, Ellie (Chase)
Weatherbee, Owen Myers, Ryleigh Myers, Ashton Myers, Jackson Eagle, Alyvia Eagle, Madilyn
Myers, River Largent, and Delaney Largent.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Gloria and James, and his granddaughter,
Isla Largent. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the
Alzheimer’s and Dementia non-profit of your choice. The family would also like to express their
gratitude to the Ohio Health Hospice team for their wonderful care over the preceding weeks.
