Raymond “Ray” Powley, 84, passed away on Thursday March 28th, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio.  Ray was born June 21, 1939, to Irma and Darrell Powley in Thurston, Nebraska.   

Survivors include his two daughters, Kimberly Cox of Lima, Ohio  and Amy Miller of Columbus, Ohio, and one Son Bradley Powley of Columbus Grove, Ohio.  Ray has 5 grandchildren:  Angel Ward, Tommy Cox, Shawn Powley, Jeremy Powley, Tyler Powley, 8 great-grandchildren: Audrey, Ava, Gavin, Kierra, Kinsleigh, Raylan, Zoey, and Sadie and 1 great great grandson Hakeem.  

He was proceeded in death by his parents; wife Patricia Case-Powley, and granddaughter Alexis Armer.

Ray served in the United Airforce from 1958 to 1961 as an Aerial Refueler.  He always had the best stories about his time in the military.

Ray loved CB radios, Nascar racing, and spending time with his friends and family.  His genuine and onery personality along with his fighting spirit will be missed by everyone that got to know him.

A time of gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a future date both here in Lima, Ohio and Pender, Nebraska.
