THACKER

Rev. James C Thacker, age 94, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home on January 19th, 2018. Born in Fishtrap, Kentucky, WWII veteran, and 27 year employee of White-Westinghouse where he gave his life to the Lord on April 18th, 1961. He was a dedicated servant of Columbus First Freewill Baptist Church for half a century. Preceded in death by his wife Mary Magdalene, his son James Michael, his parents and his siblings. Survived by daughter-in-law Sandra Thacker, beloved nieces and nephews Glen (Debbie) Mullins, Bobby (Mike) Goodfleisch, Sarah Kerwood, granddaughters Karen Hobor and Nikki (Lance) Golden, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. HOME AT LAST. Visitation, Thursday Jan 25, 2018 from Noon – 8:00 pm at The Columbus First Free Will Baptist Church, 2580 Jordan Rd, Columbus, Oh 43231 (direct flowers to the church). Where his funeral service will be held Friday 11:00 am. Rev. Edwin Hayes officiating. Burial Kingwood Memorial Park.
