Robbie Alan Steiner

February 8, 1981 — March 22, 2026

Robbie “Rob” Alan Steiner, 45, passed away unexpectedly in Columbus, Ohio, on March 22nd, 2026. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio, where he was raised alongside his brothers, Ryan and Benjamin. After graduating high school, Rob welcomed his daughter, Clarise.

Largely self-taught, Rob learned to code in the early 2000s and built a life defined by curiosity, independence, and exploration. His path took him across the country and around the world, living in cities including Los Angeles, Denver, New York City, and Dubai. Despite his love of movement and adventure, he found a sense of peace in his home in upstate New York, and ultimately returned to Columbus to spend his later years close to his daughter.

Rob was deeply passionate about giving back and was actively involved with several nonprofit organizations, most notably Project Ana. He was also a man of many interests and talents from soccer, kickball, and pickleball, to, in recent years, developing a true gift for woodworking. He became an incredible craftsman, creating beautiful, lasting pieces including dining tables, chairs, beds, cutting boards, and more.

He is survived by his daughter, Clarise Steiner; his mother, Janet Thacker; his brothers, Ryan & Benjamin Steiner; and many other loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Steiner.

Rob left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Generous, thoughtful, and enigmatic, he will be remembered with deep love and will not be forgotten.

His Celebration of Life was held on April 11th. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Trevor Project, a nonprofit that Rob and his daughter were truly passionate about.
