Born and raised in this Clintonville neighborhood, it's only fitting I bring Bob back to rest. Survived by his wife Susan and brother Doug, he leaves behind a large close-knit family and friends, but he gets to join his beloved parents and grandparents.
Bob had his fingers in many pies, enjoyed life, had fun living. He spent many years working for the Board of Elections, working his way through the ranks until he reached becoming the Presiding Judge over 5 precincts all in his own neighborhood. He and Susan enjoyed giving their time for folks in need of nourishment and a friendly smile delivering Meals on Wheels for thirty years.
Being a graduate of THE Ohio State University, Bob received his Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture. He loved everything green. Bob was a vionary in creating green spaces that not only were beautiful but could be whimsical and surprising. He loved getting his hands dirty. Folks who worked with him and for him carry still today in their lives Bob's compassion, love for teaching, absorbing and sharing his knowledge and intuitiveness in making lives better through a greener world. Bob will be missed.
If you wish to make a difference in your life, honor Bob by volunteering at OSU 's Chadwick Arboretum. Plant a tree in your own yard, enjoy your new greener world.
