Robert Thomas Cayne Sr.

Robert Thomas Cayne Sr., lovingly known as Robbie, passed away on September 6, 2026, at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. He was 81. Born on June 13, 1945, in Bronx, New York to parents Annie Ricks and Harold Cayne Sr. Robert T. Cayne lived life in his own way, with a unique personality, a distinctive sense of humor, and a spirit that made him truly one-of-a-kind. He moved through life at his own rhythm and saw the world in his own way. His journey brought him through different places and across different chapters of life, leaving behind memories and stories that will remain with those who had the opportunity to know him.

Robert was a father, grandfather, uncle, son, brother, and friend whose presence remains a lasting part of the lives he touched. He is survived by his children, Mark Jackson, Angelica Cayne, Annie Cayne, and Robert Cayne Jr. His family continues through the next generation as well, including his grandchildren from Angelica and Ryan II, Ava and Ryan III. Also Vibes, from Annie and her husband Ronnie. He is also survived by his honorary son, Corey Stallworth, who held an important place in his life.

Those who knew him will remember him as having a great sense of humor and someone who loved Jazz and Reggae. He won several awards from Radio Shack and also won an award from the Jamaican Social Club, for being a member for over 40 years and received an award from the state of Ohio for turning 80 years old. Robbie enjoyed traveling to Jamaica and Bermuda. Throughout his life, he lived in NYC, Germany, Toledo, Columbus, and Lewis Center, Ohio. Robbie was also a proud United States Army Veteran.

A funeral service will be held on September 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W Third St, Dayton, Ohio 45417.
