Robert Clarence Hunter

Robert C. Hunter was born on March 30, 1952 in Charleston, West Virginia to the union of Prince A. Hunter and Pearl E. Hunter.

 Robert was one of six children born to Prince and Pearl Hunter. Sisters: Anna Jones, Betty Harriston, Mary Gwynn and Cynthia Drayghon. Brother, Prince Hunter Jr.

Robert was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Robert was loved by many and he loved the Lord. Always joked a lot and loved to make people laugh and smile. He never met a stranger and he always found someone to talk to. He decided to join the Job Corps in Charleston and did janitorial duties with his dad. Robert loved his Cleveland Browns Football team. He also loved football,  wrestling and basketball. He loved playing various games like cards as well as watching game shows.

Shortly after Roberts mother died. Robert, his sister Cynthia and their dad moved to Columbus. Roberts married Julie Hunter and born two boys, Shannon and Lorinza Hunter. Julie Hunter passed away suddenly.

Robert worked for Capital University for 30 plus years.

Robert met the love of his life Florine Jones. They married on August 28th 1982. Yolanda Person is Roberts oldest daughter, one of seven children. Together, Robert and Florine born and raised, Shannon, Lorinza, Earnest, Tawon, Shennel, and Shawnitia.

Special family: Granny Ayers, Jerri and Morris Harris, Kenneth Reeves, Brenda Reeves, Treasa Ayers, Chris Conrad, Floyd and Marry Jones, Warren Jones, and Karen Harris.

Loving memories are cherishes by his wife and many grandchildren, many greatgrands, his children, nieces, nephews, cousins, sister in law, brother in laws, friends and family.

Robert was called home to eternal rest on Friday January 12, 2024 at 3:37am. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, sister and several other nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.

Robert will be greatly missed. Until we met again Love.
