Robert Tibbetts
October 22, 1933 — October 20, 2022
Robert Austin Tibbetts, born Oct. 22, 1933, in Boston, MA and passed away Oct. 20, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio. Graduate of Clark University in 1953 and The University of Chicago in 1968.
He worked as a librarian at The University of Chicago, Purdue University and The Ohio State University.
As a lifelong singer, he sang with church choirs wherever he lived. He also sang with the Chicago Symphony Chorus, the Opera Columbus Chorus, as well as various other musical groups in the Columbus area.
He is survived by children Margery Z. Tibbetts, Robert M. (Mike) Tibbetts, Joy P. DeWitt and Douglas A. Tibbetts; Brother Jeremy Tibbetts Sr.; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Proceeding him in death was his wife, Margery A. Tibbetts, his brother James W. Tibbetts and his daughter Cheryl A. Endres.
