Roger Radcliff

Roger L Radcliff passed away peacefully with his children by his side on Wednesday, February 20th at Riverside Hospital at the age of 71. Roger was born on September 5, 1952 in Columbus Ohio to Herbert and Gladys Radcliff, who proceed him in death. Also proceeding his death, his wife of 20 years, Yvonne (Branham) Radcliff. Surviving family are his daughter, Melissa (Mark) Evans and son, Roger A Radcliff, grandchildren, Mark (Maria) Evans, Matthew Evans and great-grandson, Mason. He also leaves behind many dear and loyal friends.

Roger grew up and remained in the Linden area where he attended North High School, graduating  in 1971. He made many life long friends throughout his years and kept in touch with most. He always had a story to tell about the good times he had.

Roger married Yvonne in 1981 and they have two children that are now grown. He was known at home for his one liners, words of wisdom and making Saturday morning pancakes. He was also known to educate his children and their friends of new vocabulary words and phrases while he was driving, unintentionally of course. Many laughs and great memories were made and cherished.

He worked for the City of Columbus as a street maintenance investigator and retired in 2011 after 30 dedicated years of employment. He took pride in his work with the City and enjoyed what he did and the people he worked with.

Roger was a loving husband and hardworking father, always making sure his family came first and was provided for. He was a protector and loyal to all he loved. He was a very dependable and generous man. Family and friends will always remember him to be witty, kindhearted and will miss him dearly.

Roger will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Union Cemetery on Olentangy River Road in Columbus on February 28 2024. No service will be held prior per his wishes
