Ronald Evans

Ronald “Ron” Jack Evans, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Ron was born on December 20, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio to Ralph and Magdaline “Maggie” Evans. He served in the US Army from 1963- 1966. He married his wife of 53 years, Yolanda Tejeda, in 1967. Retired from Industrial Machinery in 2015. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family- family was everything to him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Magdaline Evans, and sister Joanne Ziegler. Ron is survived by his wife Yolanda, children Don (Vicky) Evans, Mark (Melissa) Evans, Amy (Tim) Kazee, Tracy (Gary) Harmon, grandchildren Mark (Maria) Evans II, Brooklyn (Mohamed) Wade, Gary Harmon Jr., Ericka Harmon, Alex Kazee, Katie Kazee, Matthew Evans, Garia Harmon, Shelby (Drew) Long, Corey (John) Sprague, great-grandchildren, and his three pups Bella, Max, and Pepper.

Services will be held at The Shaw-Davis Funeral Home Clintonville Chapel, 4341 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214. The family will receive guests on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 5 pm to 7 pm, with the funeral following on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 11 am. Due to the current COVID-19 precautions, the number in attendance will be limited to 40 people, masks will be required while visiting the funeral home as well as social distancing.
