Ronald Gerold Reese

October 6, 1943 — July 3, 2025

Ronald Gerold Reese, age 81, of Westerville, Ohio, a proud Navy veteran, went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ron lived a life marked by faith, service, and unwavering love for those around him.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gerold and Marie Reese, and his dear sister, Jeanette Freshwater. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Lucy Reese, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: Matt (Mindy) Reese, Natalie (David) McGary, and Ron (Christi) Reese, along with Terra Fox. Ron was a proud and devoted grandfather to Katie (David) Lindsey, Ciara (David) Hartle, Matthew (Emma) Reese, Nick Reese, Lucy McGary, Sam McGary, and Kyle Deel. His joy multiplied with the arrival of his great-grandchildren: Andrew, Rylee, Leyton, Ryder, Reese, Sutton, Stella, Lily, and Caleb.

Ron is also survived by his sister Martha Radcliff, and brothers Jim and Bill Reese, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. Faithfully by his side was his loyal companion, Buddy, his beloved dog who brought him comfort and joy in his later years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Genoa Baptist Church, located at 7562 Lewis Center Road, Westerville, on Saturday. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Ron’s memory to P a place that deeply nurtured his faith and community.

One of Ron’s favorite Bible verses was Psalm 7:1: “O Lord my God, in You I put my trust; Save me from all those who persecute me; and deliver me.”
