Rui Ming Chen

Rui Chen, age 60, passed away on August 9 at The OSU Wexner Medical Center, after a year of battling cancer.

Rui was born on April 18, 1963, in Taishan, Guangdong, China. He was the son of Jieliang Chen and Jindie Chen. Rui was a man of many talents. He worked as a carpenter and movie operator before immigrating to the United States. He and his family settled in Columbus, Ohio where he worked as a chef for nearly twenty years. An artist at heart, he enjoyed singing karaoke in his free time. He was also known for his skillful Chinese calligraphy and Chinese paintings. Rui‘s other passion was surrounding himself with nature. He especially enjoyed collecting rocks and taking pictures of plants. His love of art and nature was only surpassed by his love for his family.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Feng Zeng, and his children: Danni Chen and Andrew Rosen, of Los Angeles, CA; Laura and Brandon Sauls, of Houston, TX; and Haochi Chen and Victoria Myszko, of New York City, NY. He had 4 wonderful grandsons: Theodore, Elijah and Trevor Sauls, of Houston, TX; and Oliver Rosen, of Los Angeles, CA. Also surviving is his mother Jindie Chen of Taishan, China and sister Yingna Chen of Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

The family plans to return Rui to his hometown, Taishan, in Guangdong, China, where he will find his final resting place.

陈锐明，享年60岁（积闰享寿 63岁）经过一年与癌症的搏斗终于8月9日在俄亥俄州立大学韦克斯纳医疗中心去世。

陈锐明于1963年4月18日出生于中国广东省台山市斗山镇。他的父母亲是陈洁亮和陈金蝶。锐明是一个多才多艺的人，移民美国之前曾在中国当过木匠和电影操作员。他和家人定居在俄亥俄州哥伦布市，在那里他做了将近20年的厨师。他的内心深处是一名艺术家，业余时间他喜欢唱卡拉OK。他还以他娴熟的中国书法和国画在亲友间闻名。锐明热衷于大自然。他特别喜欢收集石头并拍摄植物照片。然而，他对家人的爱却是无可比拟。

陈锐明的妻子曾凤嫦已经陪伴他度过了39个年头。他的子女是：加州洛杉矶的陈丹妮和安德鲁·罗森；德州休斯顿的陈丹莹和宋博南；以及纽约市的陈浩驰和维多利亚·米什科。他有四个可爱的孙子：休斯顿的陈立轩、陈立昂和陈立远，以及洛杉矶的陈立唯。他的母亲陈金蝶居住中国台山以及他的妹妹陈影娜现居明尼苏达州。

锐明的家人将带他回去他的故乡广东省台山市。他将在那里安息长眠。
