Ruth Ann Anderson (née Boyers)

Mar 21, 1938 — Jul 31, 2026

Ruth Ann Anderson (née Boyers), 88, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the memories of a life well lived.

Ruth was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, family member, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She was a 1956 graduate of DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio, and built a career defined by dedication and perseverance. Ruth worked for 14 years at JCPenney Insurance in Westerville before beginning a 32-year career as an administrative assistant with CCT/DNV GL in Dublin. Her commitment to her work was evident as she continued working full-time until the remarkable age of 85, when she retired after decades of faithful service.

Ruth found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially tending to her beautiful yard and garden. An avid gardener with two green thumbs, Ruth could often be found planting flowers, pulling weeds, and carefully nurturing every corner of her landscape. She took pride in creating a welcoming outdoor space where she delighted in watching and feeding the birds, whose daily visits brought her endless happiness.

Ruth's greatest treasure was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Alicia (Buddy), Roberta (Doug), and Dean (Gina); her two grandchildren, Michelle and Ryan; her four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Preston, Madison, and Braxton, all of whom lovingly knew her as "Mimi"; her brother, Ronald (Cathie) Boyers; sister-in-law, Betsey Boyers, brother-in-law David Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Martha Boyers; her brothers, Stanley and Gerald; and her sister, Barbara.

Ruth will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering work ethic, her love of nature, and the care she showed to both her family and the world around her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever bloom in the gardens she lovingly tended, in the songs of the birds she faithfully fed, and in the hearts of those who loved her.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Ruth's legacy of love, compassion, hard work, and quiet grace will endure for generations to come.

Family will receive friends and loved ones at a Celebration of Life - Open House on Sunday, October 18, 2026 from 1:00 - 3:00PM at 115 Park Road, Columbus, OH 43235.
