Ruth Ann Davis

Ruth Ann Feagan Davis (Grandma Ruthie) age 91, passed away May 5, 2023 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio after a brief illness.

Ruth Ann was born in Bracken County, Kentucky on October 3, 1931 to Herbert and Lena Henson Feagan.

Ruth graduated from Bracken County High School in 1949. She married Martin Davis on July 27, 1956 in the parsonage of Beechwold Church of Christ. Their marriage was officiated by Louis Detro. They remained married until his passing November 3, 1998.

Ruth worked for what is now known as Chase Bank for many years, retiring in 1987. She lived in Columbus, Ohio for over 60 years before moving to Cincinnati to be near her grandchildren in 2018.

Her church memberships were Germantown Kentucky Christian Church, Beechwold Christian Church, Westerville Christian Church and Mount Carmel Christian Church. She taught Sunday School for almost 50 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Lena Henson Feagan, husband Martin Davis, siblings Norma Feagan Detro Garvin and Dana Feagan.

Ruth is survived by her children Gary (Kathy) Davis and Brian (Lisa) Davis.  Grandchildren Chloe (Zachery) Hess, Carly (Roger) Bishop, Cassandra (Sean) Varady, Alex Davis and Sarah Davis. Great Grandchildren Theodore Davis Hess, Jack Marshall Bishop and Daisy Anne Bishop – expected August 2023.

She had many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as a multitude of friends that she claimed as family as they claimed her.
