Sarah Inis Lilly

Sarah Inis Lilly, 30, of Columbus Ohio, passed away on February 1, 2023. Sarah was born on February 7, 1992, to Julius (Tad) & Michele Lilly in Glen Burnie, Maryland. After graduating from Fairbanks High School in 2010, Sarah went on to study Criminology/Political Science at Ohio University. After graduation, Sarah landed her first job in Washington DC supporting legal fellowships for a large nonprofit organization. Sarah went on to law school at University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated in 2021 with honors. Sarah’s career and volunteer work was committed to developing legal tools to assist those of social injustice. Seven months ago, she joined WSM Law as an Associate Attorney, supporting and guiding women through the legal process.

Sarah was a colorful and bright soul with an infectious personality. She had an unapologetically quirkiness about her that drew you in and instantly built a friendship. She genuinely loved making ‘something’ from broken ‘nothings’, loved art because of the story of the artist, only wanted gently used items because they had a story to tell. She was an avid reader and climber and was teaching herself to play guitar. It was always a surprise what she would attempt to make with her 3-D printer. Most of all she was known for her genuine acts of kindness, motivated to helping others in need. She was a deep thinker who loved deeply where every moment was meaningful. She had a spirit and energy that forever changed others.

She is survived by her siblings, Katelyn, Justin, Kristin and Melanie Lilly, her parents Tad and Michele Lilly, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023. Gathering at 3:30pm with services to begin at 4:00 pm at the Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center, Lewis Center Ohio, Edgewater Room. Cards for the family can be sent to Lilly Family 1958 Linden Street, Lewis Center Ohio, 43035. The family wishes that in lieu of flowers donations be made to one of the following organizations:
