Shannon Nicole Rose

Shannon Nicole Rose, 40, passed away on July 21, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Shannon was the daughter of the late Endora Lynette Rose (Beady). She was preceded in death by her mother and her grandparents, Ronald e. Beady and Janice Sue Beady. She is survived by her loving children, Camren Gaddy, Kaliyah Gaddy, and Percy Leigh, who were the absolute center of her world. She is also survived by her sister, Ashley McCarthy (Rose), brother-in-law, Joseph McCarthy, her cherished niece and nephew, Avery and Archer McCarthy, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply. Shannon built a successful career as an HR professional, spending ten years with Nationwide in a variety of roles. She was intelligent, a quick learner, and someone who excelled in everything she set her mind to. Her dedication and work ethic earned the respect of those who had the privilege of working alongside her. Above all else, Shannon’s greatest joy and purpose in life were her three children. They were her heart, her motivation, and the reason she pushed forward each day. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and loved spending time in her Buckeye room cheering on her team. She also had a deep love for music—especially Post Malone, or “Posty,” as she affectionately called him. Shannon often tried to present herself as tough, but beneath that exterior was a deeply kind, generous, and compassionate person. She was always willing to help others, often putting their needs before her own. While she sometimes struggled to see her own worth, those who knew and loved her saw the incredible light she brought into the lives of everyone around her. Her love, humor, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will never be forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jeffrey Park Memorial Shelter, 165 N. Parkview Ave., Bexley, OH 43209. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories, celebrate Shannon’s life, and support one another. This will be a family-friendly gathering. Flowers are not necessary. For those who wish to honor Shannon’s memory, contributions may be made to a fund established to assist with final expenses and to support her children. Though her time with us was far too short, Shannon’s love lives on through her children and through the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply loved, forever missed, and always remembered.
