Sharon Lynn Miller passed away on June 15 at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Wilma Johnson, and her sister, Joyce.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Cliff; her son Josh; daughter-in-law, Lori, grandchildren, Ben and Nicholas; siblings, Nancy, Linda, Ted, and Michael; and many extended family and friends.
Sharon spent much of her life giving to others. Her career choices included nursing, family planning, teaching, and working with emotionally disturbed children. She volunteered her time with a variety of special needs children. She found joy in searching for perfect gifts for friends and family.
Sharon enjoyed caring for her plants and flowers, and she felt very at ease whenever she returned to her scenic home state of West Virginia. Among her other interests were traveling, reading, movies, live theatre, and even an occasional opera. Still, she made time for her “hokey” movies on the sci-fi network, Blue Jackets hockey, crosswords and jigsaw puzzles.
Her greatest love was her family. She was a wonderful, dedicated wife and mother, and she will always be in our hearts.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 22, from 11:00AM until noon at Shaw Davis Funeral Homes,4341 North High Street. This will be followed by a short service.
