Shawn M. McCord

Shawn M. McCord, 54, of Columbus passed away on June 8th, 2025 at Riverside Hospital with his stepfather at his side. He was diagnosed with Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia last December and had been fighting it fairly well until recently. He graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School and attended OSU. Shawn worked in the granite and marble distribution industry and was warehouse manager at a local granite and marble company. He enjoyed watching history documentaries and movies, working with computers, and spending time with nature and animals. Shawn was generous and kind-hearted, taking care of his mother and stepfather when necessary. He was proceeded in death by his Mother, Joyce Hagge and father, Tom McCord. Shawn is survived by his stepfather, Doug Hagge; aunt, Angie (Chris) Comstock; cousins, Briana Smith and Chris Peck. Inurnment will be at St Joseph's Cemetery on June 20th, 2025 at 12:15pm.
