Shirley Jane Davis

Shirley Davis (Vogal), 59, of Newark, OH passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2023 in her home. She fought a long hard battle but is now at peace.                                                                                                                                                                                

Shirley was born and raised in Newark, Ohio where she has spent the remainder of her life. Shirley fought a long hard battle with addiction many times finding sobriety & in those times she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Shirley also loved her companion pet bird "Miss Daisy" very much. Through all the trials of her life, she touched the hearts of many that knew her. Shirley was not the addiction that took her from us. She was a mother, friend, & grandmother. Shirley is survived by her children Robin Davis, Carrie Hupp (Davis), Misty Kemp (Davis) Autumn Davis, Sean Davis.  Shirley is the daughter to late Mary Tucker (Vogal) & Bill Tucker (step father) & Charles Fredrick Vogal (biological father ),  ( 10 ) grandchildren &  (2 )  great. Also proceeding her in death sister (Julie Vogal), sister Vickie Evans (Vogal), & Brother (Fred Vogal).

There will be a memorial service at a later date to celebrate the life of Shirley Davis. Thank you so much to any and all who have shared a kind word and prayers & donated money and gifts at this most difficult time. We are truly grateful.
