Stephanie Lynn Adkins

Stephanie Lynn Adkins, age 47, of Columbus, OH, passed away peacefully at 6:13 am on December 4, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 14, 1978, in Columbus, OH, to Charles “Chuck” Adkins Jr. and the late Lothel Adkins.

Stephanie loved her children tremendously, and they loved her in return. A fierce and devoted friend, she brought humor and joy to every gathering—usually while wearing her favorite color, pink. She kept a clean house, but hated doing dishes, a trait she passed on to her children. She loved her beautiful, long hair and possessed stunning handwriting so precise it looked typed. Affectionately known as “Stifnee”, her generous spirit knew no bounds; She would have done anything for anyone fortunate enough to know her.

Though our world is dimmer without her, her love continues to shine through her children, her family, and the countless hearts she touched. Her legacy is one of love, strength, and compassion—a legacy that will live on for generations.

She is survived by her children, Justin Adkins, Brendan (Marina) Barney, Hayleigh Adkins, and Adriana Thomas; her father, Chuck Adkins; her sister, Martha (Chuck) Blackburn; her brother, Patrick (Anissa) Horvath; her aunt Denise (Joe) Sprague; along with her nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lothel; her grandparents, Charles and Anna Adkins; and her aunt Karen (Edward) Collins. We sincerely hope that being laid to rest with her mother brings her eternal peace and happiness. We love you.

Please join us on December 9, 2025, from 11 am - 1 pm at Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes, 4341 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43214, for a celebration of Stephanie’s life. Dress comfortably, but appropriately.
