Steven Edward Kazee, 68, passed away on Nov. 7, 2023 in Westerville, OH. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia (Poling) Kazee, and his step-father Edgel Kazee, great grandfather Robert Parry, grandparents Carlos and Hazel Poling, uncles Robert A. Poling, Kenneth E. Poling, Sr. and Aunt Annette Poling; Step Sisters Carolyn Kazee Pyles, Lori (Dominic) Kazee Dougherty.
Steven was survived by Aunt Rose (Poling) Hanson, cousins Don Poling, Kenneth Edward Poling, Jr., Tracey Carpenter, Robbyn Truax, Timothy Poling, Kelly Poling and Alicia Pacino, Chad Poling, step-brother Bill (Iming) Kazee, Bernice Kazee Carson. Steven has numerous nephews and nieces. Steven graduated from Logan High School in 1973, graduated from Hocking College in 1976. Steven was employed at Logan Clay, Tren Carpeting and Northland Terrace nursing home as an accountant from 1976 – 1994.
Steve enjoyed listening to his ham radio, and was always intrigued by frequency that would reach around the world to Europe and Russia.
He also loved his rock-n-roll and bluegrass music. Discovered a distant relative Buehl Kazee, who was a preacher and sang back in the day, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.
When Steve moved into his current residence he took up playing pool with his new friend Bill and was starting to get interested in chess.
Steve was a kind, soft hearted man who was always giving of his time to help others; especially his step-sister Lori who was going through some very rough times. He was a great support. Steve will be missed by the many who knew him.
