Susan(Sue) L Ogden

Susan (Sue) L. Ogden, age 88, of Columbus, Ohio, walked up the mountain with Jesus on July 24, 2023.

She was born in Chauncey, Ohio (Athens) on March 11, 1935 to the late Carl Edward and Meryl Leora Six. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ralph Wayne Ogden; siblings: Edward Jr., Francis England, Marvela Leah, Samuel Sanford, Lawrence Jacob and Doug Six.

Surviving family includes son Randy, daughter Lois, grandchildren Monica and Audrey Ogden, Justin and Sean Ogden who Sue raised and 3 great grandchildren.

Sue worked at Maize Manor United Methodist Church as a Custodian for 40 years. Sue was a member of Karl Road Baptist Church.

The following is in Sue’s own words. “I saw heaven when I almost drowned in the Ohio River. I stopped halfway to Heaven because Jesus sent me back to earth to help others.” She was baptized in the Ohio River at age 12. She followed her savior all the days of her life and served Him faithfully until she took her last breath. She shared her love with others as a Sunday School teacher, clothing ministry, a prayer warrior and serving bereavement luncheons.

Sue had a servant heart of a true Christian providing a home for her children, grandchildren, and a safe haven for troubled teens. She set an example for all of us to follow.

Visitation Tuesday August 1, 2023 at Karl Road Baptist Church, 5750 Karl Rd Columbus, Oh 43229 from 10:00am-11:00am, Service 11:00am-12:00pm, Luncheon 12:00-1:00pm and Graveside Service at 2:00pm at Franklin Hills Memorial Gardens, Route 1, Elder Road Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110.
