Troy Lamont Martin

Troy (T-Roy) Martin 51, Gained his wings, November 27, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio. Troy was born February 21, 1971, in Akron, Ohio. Proceeded in death by his grandparents: Jessie and Cora Magee of Magnolia, Mississippi.
Troy is survived by his mom Myrtis “Diane” (Cornell) Snipes of Mississippi. His biological mother Gwendolyn “G Money” Martin, and father Alberdeen Thomas, both of Akron, Ohio. 

His children: MarKietta Hammonds, Troy Jr, Tyiesha, DiJonna Williams, James Palmer, Jaionna Palmer, Ta’Kasia and Ta’Kaira.

Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Legend, Saraia, T’Mylah, A’Niyra, Ayden, Aydrion, Kha’Niyah, Chalaina, Semaj and JaMyla.

Brothers: Raheem “Squirt” Martin, Antoine “Twan” Martin, JaJuan “Jr” Martin, Jeston Lucas, Anthony, and Al Thomas.

A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and close friends, who will truly miss him.

Troy loved spending time with his family, cooking, working on cars, playing card games, he was a big movie critic and an avid Ohio Lottery player.

He loved his hats and big body trucks. He was a very outgoing person and a jokester, always making people laugh.

If you knew him, you loved him. Troy was so full of energy and always happy to help others. 

Special thanks to his daughters Jaionna Palmer and Ta’Kasia Martin for caring for him until his passing. Also, special thanks to Natalie Wells (Angel), Lori, Martin, and the Kobacker Hospice House for their excellent care during this difficult time. 

Troy’s services will be held at Shaw Davis Funeral Home 4341 N High St. Columbus, OH 43214. December 17, 2022, 12 Noon-2 PM. No graveside services as Cremation will take place.
