Walter Williamson

   Walter Charles Williamson, age 70, passed away at 9:56 a.m., Thursday November 24, 2022 at Riverside Memorial Hospital . 

   Born August 21, 1951, in Columbus, OH, he was the son of Walter and Gladys Prince Williamson.

   Charlie was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He served in the United States Army after high school. He was an active man with many interests, one of his favorites being Harley Davidsons and another was firearms and shooting them. He stayed active riding bicycles until the very end.

   Charlie very much enjoyed spending time with his family and telling stories from the good old days. He worked for The Ford automotive company for many years. He loved Whitecastle burgers and enjoyed 7-up soda.

   Surviving in addition to his sister Joyce Williamson, are his children, Walter Charles Minter, Laura J. Nolte, both of Logansport, IN and Susan Puckett, Columbus, OH. He had 5 beautiful granddaughters, Tayadora J. Nolte of Logansport, IN, Laura Barker, Erika Sheets, Makaila McColley, and Ashleigh McColley, all of Columbus, OH. He also had 8 great grandchildren.

   Also surviving is  his niece Ashley Williamson and husband Donnie Reed and children, Bill Jr., Teresa and Kimmie Scott and families, and nephew Jay Bird.

   Charlie was preceded in death by both of his parents, Walter and Gladys Williamson and his two sisters Judy and Mary.

   Interment will be in Columbus, OH, at Union Cemetery directly following the funeral service .
