William James Davis

William James Davis (Bill), 76, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on September 3, 2026.

Bill was born on January 1, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Elias Davis and Cora Kathryn Fowler. He graduated from North High School in Columbus, Ohio and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army in the United States and in Germany. He made Columbus his home for more than 20 years, and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Columbus Destroyers.

Bill will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, and his unending commitment to his family. He was known for his generosity to family and friends, always ready with a small gift to bring a smile to someone's day.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Davis; his brother, Samuel O. Davis, and Samuel's wife and Bill's sister-in-law, Patricia "Pat" Davis; his grandchildren, Darian and Ava; his nephew, Samuel J. Davis; and his niece, Crystal Davis Ramsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Cora Kathryn, and his brother, David.

Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
