Yvette Wyman

Yvette Dolores Garayalde Wyman, 80, died March 30th, 2022. She was born on October 4th, 1941 to Della Buti and Pierre Garayalde in Santa Rosa California.

Her passions were for art, poetry, hip hop, basketball, social justice and recovery.  Her experiences were vast from attending catholic school with the Ursuline nuns, to social activism, to Woodstock.

She was a parent, sister and friend to many, including her employees and friends at her store Tradewinds on OSU’s campus, ComFest from the beginning, 12 step recovery (40+ years of sobriety), and so many people that she took into her family and helped on their life path. She never turned away a person from her table or her heart.

Yvette is lovingly remembered by her children Sharrie (Michael) and John, grandchildren Patricia, Joshua (Rachel), and Miranda (Joshua), great grandchildren Timothy, Adalyn, and Margot and her extended family of all those that loved her.

A Celebration of Life gathering will occur Friday, April 22nd, 2022 between 4-6 pm at Shaw-Davis Funeral home, 4341 North High Street, Columbus, OH.  People may come and go as they please.
