Zoila Roxana Chong Miranda, age 50, passed away at 6:11 a.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at home. Born August 13, 1974, in Lima, Peru, she was the daughter of Betty Miranda and Pablo Chong.

Zoila lived life with warmth, determination, and a deep love for her family. She was hardworking and committed - always punctual and proud to do her part to support herself and those she loved. Her joy came from seeing her family happy, and she consistently went above and beyond to care for her parents, siblings, nieces, and nephew. She had a special bond with each of them and treasured making them smile.

Before moving to the United States, she studied English at an academy, passionate about U.S. culture and history. She loved reminiscing about the old days in Peru and sharing those memories with family.

Zoila worked for many years at McDonald's and Steak 'n Shake, where she built lasting friendships. She enjoyed burgers and a good drink, especially in the company of loved ones.

Surviving her are her parents, Betty and Pablo; siblings Monica, Sandra, Pablo, and Andrey; and six nieces and nephews, including goddaughters Alessandra Vienrich and Grace Henriquez-Chong.

Zoila will be cremated, per her wishes. She will be remembered for her big heart, strength, and the love she gave so freely.

Zoila Roxana Chong Miranda, de 50 años, falleció a las 6:11 a.m. el Domingo 6 de Julio de 2025, en su hogar. Nació el 13 de Agosto de 1974 en Lima, Perú, hija de Betty Miranda y Pablo Chong.

Zoila vivió con calidez, determinación y un profundo amor por su familia. Fue una mujer trabajadora y comprometida, siempre puntual y orgullosa de esforzarse para salir adelante y apoyar a sus seres queridos. Su mayor alegría era ver feliz a su familia, y siempre daba lo mejor de sí para cuidar a sus padres, hermanos, sobrinas y sobrinos. Tenía un lazo especial con cada uno y disfrutaba hacerlos sonreír.

Antes de mudarse a los Estados Unidos, estudió Inglés en una academia con gran dedicación. Sentía pasión por la cultura e historia de EE.UU y disfrutaba compartir recuerdos de su vida en Perú.

Trabajó muchos años en McDonald's y Steak 'n Shake, donde formó amistades duraderas. Le encantaban las hamburguesas y una buena bebida, sobre todo en compañía de su familia.
