Arthur Thomas Mauller, of Newark, passed away on February 23,2020. He was born January 17,1935 in Columbus, Ohio and was the adopted son of the late William and Florence Mauller. Tom was the beloved husband of Zona for 63 years.
Tom loved the Lord and was a member of the Southgate Church of Christ. He served as a church camp counselor, and worked on many service projects, including trips to Strawberry Point in Canada. He and Zona were house parents at Midwestern Children's home in Pleasant Plain, Ohio for several years.
Tom was the owner of Tom's West Main Marathon in Newark, and was a pipefitter at Owens Corning Fiberglass. He retired from Owens in1994. He enjoyed fishing and made a yearly fishing trip to Crow Lake in Canada. He also was a HAM radio operator.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his Children Clarke Mauller (Cyndi Payne), Suellen (Paul) Notgrass, Patricia (Bart) Macdonald, Rachel Green and son-in-law Troy Green. Grandchildren, Joshua (Megan) Mauller, Gabriel (Larissa) Mauller, Jill (Kent) Benfer, Michael Notgrass, Phillip (Suzanne) Mauller, Valerie Macdonald, Melanie Macdonald, Brandyn (Daniel Decker) Green, Nikki Green, Ashley (Zachery) Sullivan, and Lydia Green, Great-Grandchildren Maddie Benfer, Emma Mauller, Abraham Mauller, Lillian Sullivan, and Coraline Decker, Foster son Brent Hashman and many other foster children. Also surviving are his Brother-in-Law and Sisters -in-law, Gary and Lynne Schworm, and Dawn McCoy as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by Brother-in-Law, Ross Schworm, Daughter-in-Law Cyndi Mauller and infant granddaughter Amber Mauller.
The family will receive friends 4:00pm-5:00pm Friday, February 28th,2020 at Southgate Church of Christ, 1075 S. 30th St. Heath, Ohio. Memorial service to follow at 5:00pm. Memorial contributions may be sent to Southgate Church of Christ for Midwestern Children's home.
