Billy Blake

Marine Veteran, Billy Adene Blake, age 88, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away at home surrounded by his family on February 9, 2020.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents William and Evelyn Blake, brothers Pete, Gene, and Roy, daughter Patricia Blake Reed, and son-in-law Melvin Wardrup.

Billy is survived by his wife Phyllis just a few days short of 60 years, sister Barbara Gilliam, daughters Rebecca Pollock, Kathy Blake Craig, and Virginia Wardrup, son Paul (Tim) Blake, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He enjoyed his home at Crow Creek Road at Beckwith, West Virginia, watching westerns, eating Big Macs, taking truck rides, porch sitting, and being with his family.

A special thank you to his future son-in-law Eric Buckland for always taking such great care of him, and to his granddaughter Micki Martin.

A memorial service will be held at Dodd and Payne Funeral Home at Fayetteville, West Virginia with date and time to be announced.

Billy will be cremated with his ashes to be buried at the Blake Cemetery at Beckwith, West Virginia.
