Diana Liola Sauls Burns, 68, of Pickerington, OH passed away August 30, 2019. Diana was born in El Campo, Texas January 19, 1951 to Malcolm Lynn and Doris Anna Hoelscher Sauls. She Married Brian David Burns August 10, 1985 in Austin, Texas. Diana attended The University of Texas at Austin working towards a degree in Music. She left UT to work for the PBS station at UT where she worked a lot with Austin City Limits and met lots of Music Favorites. She then worked for Stanley Smith Security in Austin, Texas were part of her duties involved training TSA employees. This is where she met her future husband. Brian and Diana then moved to San Antonio, Texas where she worked for the San Antonio Community College School of Nursing where she was able to help lots of young people get through Nursing School. She ended her business career at Friedrich air conditioning where she was a troubleshooter for customers in the New York area. She was also on the focus group for new products and proofread instruction manuals. While her boys were growing up, Diana left the business world to join a Home School Co-Op. She was able to teach several subjects including Mythology, Speech, and Drama. She was a natural teacher and loved by all her students.

Diana was a lover of life. She was always ready for a new adventure. She was part of the farmer's market in Canal Winchester, Ohio where a small part was selling homemade baked goods but the major part was making new friends every weekend. She especially loved doing anything that involved her husband or boys. From the time she was little Diana always loved music. She played the violin in the high school orchestra and sang in the choir. She continued singing in church choirs after school. She could have been a professional singer but for loving her family more. She will be missed by her husband Brian and her sons Jeffrey Blain and Joshua David Burns and her sisters Cynthia Lynn Christianson and Melissa Johnson and her furbabies Duck and Clark. Also numerous nephews and nieces. She will be remembered by many “adopted” family as she has brought so much joy into their lives. Diana will be missed by all of us for her love, her laugh, and her forgiving nature.
