Estelle Franz

Estelle Blanche Waggoner Franz, age 95, died April 3, 2021, at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio A native of Waggoner, Illinois she is pre-deceased by her husband Edgar W. Franz, her parents Horace and Alma Waggoner, her stepfather Herbert S. Campbell, brothers Lt. Col. Horace Q. Waggoner USAF retired, Lt. Col. Thomas Campbell (Ada), USAF retired. Sgt. Harry S. Campbell USAF retired, sisters Jacqueline Reynolds, and son Michael N. Franz.

A graduate of Waggoner High School, she attended McKendree College and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated with a BSN in nursing, serving as an R.N. over the years until her retirement.

An avid reader, she participated in book clubs and Bible study groups and served as Stephen’s Ministry minister at Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sister Cay Hoehn of Phoenix, Arizona, her son Reverend Daniel T. Franz of Columbus, Ohio (Carol), four grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in St. Louis, Missouri. Remembrances of Skidaway Island United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, 54 Diamond Causeway, Savannah, GA 31411.
