Michael "Mike" Myers

Michael "Mike" Frank Myers, 66, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on May 3, 2021.  He was born October 3, 1954 in Anderson, South Carolina, to Milton and Edna Page Myers (deceased).  He had one brother, Steven, who passed away in 2020.  Mike was a southern boy through and through.  He attended Belton-Honea Path High School and then the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.  In 1977, he graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with an MD degree.  After his medical internship and residency, he set up practice in family medicine in Honea Path, where he stayed for many years.  More recently, as Mike liked to say, he went into the "oil business":  he was employed as a clerk at the Perimeter Road Shell station in Dublin.  Mike was an avid fisherman and an excellent pool player.  He liked to go flea marketing and to buy and sell items at the "jockey lots" in South Carolina.  He had a great sense of humor and was always cracking a joke to make those around him laugh and feel good.  He was a kind, compassionate and truly good man.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lisa Zwick Myers and two children:  Andrew (Jennifer) Myers and Caroline (Lukas) Krikl; one grandchild Madeleine; a paternal aunt Joretta Grace McCord; his mother-in-law Bernadine Zwick and a brother-in-law Matthew Zwick. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43214. Due to the on going pandemic protocols, the number in attendance will be limited to 40 people, masks and social distancing will also be required while visiting.
