Patricia (Trish) J. Hall, age 86, passed away June 19, 2020. Born in Price Hill, W.V. A graduate of Marsh Fork High W.V. "Patty" was nominated and crowned Homecoming Queen and designated Miss Marshfork 1952. Her schoolmates also elected her the "Most Popular" and the "Most liked" in her class. Her friends and family also knew her to be a terrific softball player who hit many homeruns and could fire the ball where it needed to be. She looked forward to attending her class reunions and kept her school friendships throughout her life.
Pat made her home in Columbus, Ohio with the love of her life John Hall and cherished son John Jr. “Johnny”and his wife Robbi, who gave her three grandsons that she treasured and adored and they returned their love to their "Gramms". She also held dear her new friendships and neighbors, being a teachers aide, bowling in a league for many years with her lady friends, and line dancing at the recreation center. Pat also loved growing, and caring for her abundant vegetable gardens and beautiful house plants.
Pat was preceded in death by her spouse of 65 1/2 yrs John Hall, parents John Sr. & Julia Cassell, sisters Frances Cassell, and Ginny Adkins, and brother John “Bud” Cassell Jr. She is survived by son John Jr. (Robbi), grandsons John Robert (Amy Knapp), Tony, and Vince (Jessie) all of OH, sisters Irene Cantley, Judy Cassell, Toni Hatcher, Cathy Bair (Jim), Susie Matheny, brother Larry Cassell (Carole), sisters in-law Doris Cassell, and Charlene Hall, as well as niece & nephew Julie, Casey Rohde of OH. cousins, many nieces & nephews & friends.
Pat touched the lives of everyone in her large extended family. She held priceless each and every relationship with her brothers, sisters, In-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was loving and supportive and you could always count on a good laugh with her witty sense of humor. Pat made it a priority to attend birthdays, graduations, baby showers, holidays and weddings. Not only did she attend the weddings but she baked and decorated beautiful, delicious wedding cakes for the newlyweds no matter how far she had to transport them. Pat also loved to crochet and gifted many new babies in the family with a beautiful afghan. She also volunteered for Helping Hands in W.V. while visiting her sister Irene.
Aunt Pat & Uncle John always took their nephews and nieces on their yearly vacation at the beach. We all enjoyed camping at Pirateland, body surfing the waves, paddle boating, and the traditional walk to the ice cream shop to get our favorite hand dipped ice cream cone.
“Trish” worked wonders in the kitchen. We all feasted on her mini pancakes, bacon, eggs, famous fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy. She always remembered which dish her guests enjoyed and was sure to whip it up if they were coming to town. Many of us can remember her delicious potato salad, beans, spaghetti, shipwreck, wicked cheeseburgers, poundcake and strawberry pies to name a few. For holidays and special occasions she showed her love with her scrumptious and renowned Easter, Christmas cookies and treats.
We all have an empty hole in our hearts. Pat will be missed dearly yet never forgotten.
