We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Clintonville Chapel
Paul R Manley, 97, Columbus, Ohio went home to the Lord on May 30, 2022. He was born on May 31, 1925, to Rolla and Ruth Manley née Godfrey. Paul is survived by his wife of 71 years, Olga and daughters Paula Hajohn (John) of Columbus, and Susan Dissinger (Michael) Heathrow, Florida. He has four grandchildren, Sarah Gminder (Jacob) Sanford, Florida, Rachel Janiak (Brian) Charleston, SC, Claire Jolly Heathrow, Florida and Alexandra Hoover (Michael) Lewis Center, Ohio. He is also survived by five great grandchildren on the runway and one in the hanger who knew and loved him well.
He had a keen sense of humor. His original witty sayings will be remembered by the entire family. He enjoyed making wine to be shared with family and friends.
Paul served in the Air Force in WWII flying’ the hump’ from India to China over the Himalayan mountains. He retired from Massey Ferguson.
Paul and Olga spent three decades wintering Longboat Key, Florida. They made many happy memories there with very good friends.
Paul was a devoted family man who delighted in spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He always kept a candy treat in his shirt pocket to be discovered and enjoyed by the children. The greatest generation is one fewer today. Paul was a man of truth, honesty and loyalty. Donations can be made to Charity Newies in his honor.
