Shirley Carsey

Shirley Carsey, age 81, passed away Sunday September 5, 2021 in Powell, Ohio

Shirley was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Paul (Pete) for over 50 Years.

She was the beloved grandmother to 11 grandchildren: Claude Thacker, Tanya Prewitt, Shaun Thacker, Jason Carsey, Michael Carsey, Amanda Carsey, Kyle Carsey, Zakk Carsey, Sarah Mason, Gary Carsey, Kasey Carsey, and many great grandchildren.

As the matriarch, she was a role model, friend, and confidant to everyone in her family.  She loved them unconditionally and lived for the love they had for her.

Shirley loved to stay busy. She enjoyed many years in the beauty industry as a salon owner, and the personal hair stylist for many of her grandchildren. She completed her working years as Dublin City School district bus driver taking kids to and from Columbus Academy.  Most summers she traveled to a beach near Sarasota Florida with any one of her grandchildren who decided to travel with her.

Her legacy lives within all of us, she will always be remembered.

The family extends a special thank you to Ohio Health Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Shirley in her final weeks.
